Good Things are a’ Comin’
March 16th, 2009I know I have left this blog stale and unappreciated like last year’s Christmas presents, but I would like to share some thoughts for a second. A group of great designers, including myself, are about to embark on a new venture. We hope to revolutionize the design and branding industry while still being true to our roots and the foundations/principles of design.
SO….STAY TUNED.
I have been waiting for the opportunity to do what I love as a full-time career, without all of the politics of corporate America. Is this it? Who knows. But I am willing to give it all of my enthusiasm and work hard to be successful. My family and I deserve nothing less.
I have been doing design for years, but it seems as though workloads, governing bodies, politics, committees, etc… always seem to get in the way of truly producing great work. I want to get those great ideas I have in my head out to those who can use them to better themselves and their brands, without all of the red tape.
Thinking about this, I wanted to share this presentation given by Gary Vaynerchuck. This guy is straight up crazy. But he makes valid points. Do what you love and don’t settle. If you work hard enough at it, you WILL be successful.
